Love in Exile, a work in progress, is a story set in Spain during the Spanish adventures in Morocco and the Spanish Civil War.
Return to the Kingdom is a historical survey of the role of women and prostitution in Korea. The Korean comfort system has had many different lives and permutations, from the traditional courtesan of the kingdom's court to a service based industry supporting the ROK in the years after the Korean War.
How this world of prostitution and the debasement of women in Asian society reflects the continuing carrousel of history is the topic of this work, as well as how my life has been influenced and continues to draw moral equations from this experience. That will be the undercurrent of the writing.
Paris Ghosts (tentative title) is a study of the city by the street as the cental organizing structure. Each street, rue, way, boulevard is arranged alphabetically within its principle arrondissment, after which events taking place on that way are listed chronologically. The entries include the history of the street's name, places of birth, death, residences, romances, revolution, and annecdotes that offer insights into the vast historical story of the city.
